Is there a simple way to pause iCloud syncing as I have an internet quota that I need to manage?

Option 1: Turn off iCloud syncing in System Preferences.

  1. Open System Preferences by clicking on the Apple icon in the top-left corner of the screen and selecting "System Preferences."
  2. Click on the "Apple ID" icon.
  3. Click on the "iCloud" tab.

Uncheck the boxes next to the apps and features that you want to stop syncing.

Option 2: Use the "Pause Syncing" button in Finder.

  1. Open Finder and navigate to the folder that contains the files that you want to stop syncing.
  2. Right-click on the folder and select "Pause Syncing."

Option 3: Use a third-party app to pause iCloud syncing.

There are a number of third-party apps that can be used to pause iCloud syncing. One popular option is called "iCloud Control." This app allows you to pause syncing for individual apps or for all of your iCloud data.

Once you have paused iCloud syncing, you can resume it by following the same steps and checking the boxes next to the apps and features that you want to sync.

It is important to note that pausing iCloud syncing will not delete any of your data. It will simply stop the data from being synced to iCloud. When you resume syncing, the data will be synced to iCloud again.
