APPLE MAIL POP3 with UTF-8

Messages "your E-mail reader does not support Unicode E-mail." are received with the original email as an attachment.

This has been occurring from time to time since February 2021.

Mail Version has been recently updated but the problem is not fixed (Mail Version 16.0 )

That’s seemingly a Plesk bug, and unrelated to macOS.

Check for Plesk server updates, and apply the current versions.

Here’s an older discussion of this over at Plesk forums, and it hits everything; all sorts of clients. Which implies the server, and not any particular client.

I don't think Apple does pop3, only imap

It can. I looked into it a few months for a user wondering the same thing. My text from that topic.

By default, Mail always want to set up an IMAP account, but there's nothing stopping the user from connecting to a POP account. If you add a new account and choose Other Mail Account, you next put in the existing email address and password. Then you have the choice of IMAP or POP.

But even then, it defaults to IMAP. You have to go a bit out of your way to make it a POP account.
