IS Canon PIXMATR8520 Compatible with Ventura 13.4? Will not print photos in color
According to this Apple document, About AirPrint - Apple Support, The Canon TR8520 is compatible and can be printed to wirelessly.
How do you have it connected to the Mac? If wirelessly try the following in order as needed:
1 - Reset the Mac printing system to solve a problem - Apple Support
2 - Go to the System/Printers & Scanners settings pane and remove the printer.
2a - Reboot.
2b - Go back to the Printers & Scanners pane and add the printer back.
2c - Use wireless, WiFi, AirPrint or Boujour as available.
That should get you back printing.

Try the following in order as needed:
1 - Create and log into a new, basic, admin user account, Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac, and see if the problem persists. This tells us if the problem is limited to your user account or is system wide.
Note: do not launch any 3rd party apps in the account so as to not install any of the supporting files that most create.
If the problem isn't present then your original account has software installed that is causing the problem.
2 - boot into Safe Mode according to How to use safe mode on your Mac and test to see if the problem persists. Reboot normally and test again.
NOTE 1: Safe Mode boot can take up to 3 - 5 minutes as it's doing the following;
• Verifies your startup disk and attempts to repair directory issues, if needed
• Loads only required kernel extensions (prevents 3rd party kernel/extensions from loading)
• Prevents Startup Items and Login Items from opening automatically
• Disables user-installed fonts
• Deletes font caches, kernel cache, and other system cache files
NOTE 2: if you have a wireless keyboard with rechargeable batteries connect it with its charging cable before booting into Safe Mode. This makes it act as a wired keyboard as will insure a successful boot into Safe Mode.
Lastly, as a workaround try printing to a PDF in Photos and see if you can print from the PDF in color.
Is there a setting in the Print window for setting the color or B/W or is it not showing?
Hello, Thank you for responding to my question. I have done all of those steps with Apple help on the telephone. I am able to print wirelessly from both mac and my iPhone.
The problem I am having is that I can only print in black and white from iPhotos. I am not able to switch to color.
Yes. There is that option. However, It only allows for B/W while trying to print from iPhoto. I am able to choose color for printing all other.
Question: You've mentioned iPhoto a couple times which is not compatible with Ventura. Or do you actually mean Photos?
