Announce Notifications

My iPhone used to announce text notifications on my AirPods

Pro 2, but it is not working now.

I have tried with one AirPod on and with both of them in my

ear.

iOS 16.5

iPhone 14 Pro Max (I did do a reset)

My ringer on my iPhone is on

do not disturb is off

The announce notifications icon is red, which means it is on.

What else should I try?

iPhone speaker announce notification automatically even off Recently, sometimes once move AirPods from ear and message just delivered, iPhone speaker announce notification loudly even iPhone speaker turn off, how can I solve it? Thanks

How can I fix AirPods notification issues on iPhone 16 Pro Max? iPhone 16 pro max iOS 18.3- incoming call notification turned on “announce calls - on” however when apple air pods are connect it does not work as expected (no announcement). Tried resetting AirPods and started fresh setup couple of time no go. Same setup Works on iPhone 12 Pro Max. Thanks! [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Try restoring your AirPods to factory settings and set them up as new. Here is how that works:

That could potentially fix your problem.
