Logic Pro 10.7.8. Audio Input

I've been using garage band for a few years. Recently upgraded to Logic Pro. Made a couple recordings with mics, guitars, etc...

Booted it up yesterday to add new vocal tracks to an existing project and my vocals will not register on an existing track, a brand new track, or even a brand new project.

They do show up in garage band and focusrite. Therefore I know that everything is working except logic pro. I've verified that the inputs are set correctly. I've tried a variety of other settings. Rebooted. Tried to start a new session from scratch. Nothing works in Logic, but garage band is fine. Using a Scarlett 18i8. Suggestions ???

i had a problem similar to this what fixed mine was at the top of your computer with your notifications, and battery and stuff theres a yellow mic when logic is open. click on the mic and make sure its not on voice isolation but on standard.

I have this exact problem. Garageband works fine but Logic Pro does not. I have a Motu M6. Just spoke to Apple Support telling them they need to fix Logic Pro as it was working before the upgrade of either macOS 13.4 or Logic Pro 10.7.8 (upgraded around the same time).

Every DAW on the planet and every software is working with my Motu M6 except Logic Pro but Apple Support just said they don't debug problems with external sound cards. Well, guess what the problem is if every other software works with the sound card except the one....

That did not help me at all. I deleted plist files, uninstalled Logic Pro and installed it from scratch, reset settings, reinstalled my sound card drivers, and installed them again.

The thing is, for me, the only input that works is the built-in MacBook microphone. Not even my Studio Display microphone works with Logic Pro anymore.

Curious if you can make it work!

Fortunately, I can record in Garageband and mix it in Logic.
