M2 MPB crashing when connecting to dock

Ever since the last Ventura update 13.4 (22F66) my computer crashes almost every day in the morning when I plug it into the dock. It's a TB3 dock with a dual DP adapter and two 4K displays. This has not been causing a problem until that update. When I see the computer restarted due to a problem is seems to be crashing in some kind of storage extension, but when I look inside of Console I am not sure how to find the error again to paste it here. I can update this if I can capture it from the restarted dialog.

The dock works fine with chromebooks, intel macs and this M2 MBP until the last OS upgrade.

That only reinforces that it might be the software needed to make the dock work is broken and you need to contact the manufacturer for an update to that software. Maybe it will require a firmware fix to the dock.

If it did come with software to make it work, you might try uninstalling the software and then reinstall. You'll need to get the uninstaller from the manufacturer.

If you boot up into Safe Mode, does it still crash when you plug it in? If it does, then it is a hardware problem in the dock itself that would probably need a firmware patch.

That doesn't help either because it's not portable. I don't quite understand why we're looking for solutions by getting other devices. Something is broken with the USB implementation of the M2 MBP.

For example, it's constantly saying:

which cannot be correct, because the only single plug plugging into the Mac is a PD USB-C supplying the power and in fact charging the mac. Unplugging it and re-plugging it would corrupt the disk drives connected to the mac and they are in fact also connected as are my network and trackball. It doesn't even say which device it is :(

Ah I see. The problem it's not really "broken" and going to a "apple genius" also won't be possible since I can't take the rest of the gear and set it up for failure. And on top of that the failure doesn't happen during every single plugging in. There is something bad with USB timing I think. Even the external keyboard is having problems with missing keys and I have to hit keys repeatedly in some cases. Something is just plain wrong.

Yea, sorry. I use a planck and an expert mouse when I am at my desk and have the computer in a clamshell. When I use it out I use a planck and a apple trackpad. I keep on having problems with keystokes on the planck, and when I dock it has been crashing and/or restarting the computer in the morning. Once it comes backs from the crash it's fine other than the coreaudiod going into 100% CPU and audio no longer working. The audio goes through a jabras speaker phone which is autoselected using SoundControl. The internal keyboard is disabled by using Karabiner Elements. I know it's kind of complicated, but I don't see another way.
