I can not airdrop any single “Live” photo, also not 2 or more through airdrop.
Tried every advise I could find, Even completely reinstalled Iphone (Iphone SE 2020).
Did not restore a backup or transfered settings from old phone. Airdrop does not work with live pictures.
normal pictures no problem.
starting to get desperate now.

Do you have this same issue when trying to AirDrop Live Photos to other devices or does it only seem to impact the iPad?
Do you see any errors when attempting to AirDrop those?

By completely resetting the iPhone, did you mean you restored it to factory settings? We don't recommend it, but these are what the steps would've looked like: Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings

it is only that Iphone that has the problem. It is completely up to date. (Latest IOS)
we have 2 Ipad 4 mini and 2 iphones (Iphone SE 2020 and Iphone 7).
it is only the SE 2020 that has the problem with both ipads.
1) The iphone SE can not transfer Live pictures to any of the 2 ipads. (Also not to my neighbours ipad)
2) The Iphone SE can transfer normal pictures to any ipad. (More then 1 at the same time)
3) The Iphone SE can transfer Live pictures to the Iphone 7
4) The Iphone 7 can transfer the pictures to the ipads.
By trail and error and eliminating all kind of things I am 99.99% sure it is the Iphone SE 2020 causing the trouble.
further this iphone seams 100% oke, Bluetooth, wifi, etc is workimg perfectly.
I completely reset the Iphone SE in the hope it was a “user error” but afraid it is not.
Followed (a lot) tips and tricks on the internet like disable and enable airdrop, reboot, disable “hotspot” and all kind of other tricks but nothing seams to help.
there is an error (after(?) the transfer and is giving you the opportunity to store the picture in an other folder on the ipad.
You can do it and it looks like they are saved but they can not be opened.
(As a retired ADP technician) It almost looks like it has something to do with “Rights”.
If airdrop from the Iphone SE is not allowed to write in that (Picture) folder.
But then the “Right” is only for Live pictures because a normal picture does not seam to be a problem.
