Unable to Set Smart List Reminder on Apple Watch

I’m on WatchOS 9.5 working on the Modular Watch Face. I’m trying to set the Reminders App to display a Smart List that I use on a daily basis that shows my daily “To Do List”.

So far no matter what I do, it won’t display that. It only displays my ‘Today’ list, which isn’t super helpful because I never have dates on my smart list. I moved my smart list to the top of the Reminders ‘My Lists’ section and it didn’t make a difference. Then I moved it up to the very top of the blocks of lists at the very top of the Reminders apps so it displays before ‘Today’ and it still doesn’t work.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks for reaching out speedster2005,

It sounds like you're having trouble with reminders on your Apple Watch. We can help.

Let's try these steps to Set and respond to reminders on Apple Watch:

See your reminders
1. Open the Reminders app  on your Apple Watch.
2. Tap a list to open it.
3. Tap the Reminder Completed button on the left side of an item to mark it as completed or tap the reminder, then tap Mark as Completed.
4. Tap < in the top-left corner to return to your list view.
5. To see the completed reminders in a list, tap the list, tap View Options, then tap Show Completed.
6. To see all completed reminders, tap the All list, tap View Options, then tap Show Completed.
To change the order of your lists, open the Reminders app on your iPhone, tap Edit, then drag the list to a new location.
You can share a list and collaborate with people who use iCloud. Shared lists show who a reminder has been assigned to. On Apple Watch you can join a shared list, but you can’t share a list from Apple Watch. See the iPhone User Guide for information about shared reminder lists.

If you still have trouble after that, you can connect with Apple directly using either Get Support or if you're in a region without direct support options, you can also Contact Apple for support and service.

Hope that helps.

Take care.
