If you have the latest update for iOS 16, you have optimized charging enabled and you are fast charging your device, you'll get a warning when it charges to 80%. Optimized charging always stopped the charging process at 80% but now it notifies you. That doesn't indicate that anything is wrong with the phone.

I agree that Apple could have done a better job with that alert. You're not the only person who has found it worrisome.
