Apps have lost upgraded features when changing iPhone.

I just upgraded from iPhone 12 to 13. All of my apps have transferred but I note that 2 apps used by my kids have reverted back to the original game. I’d paid in both of these apps to unlock various characters and features but neither of them have it now. It seems that I need to pay again to unlock these features. Can anyone help? Surely I don’t need to pay again and the apps should just have transferred over with their current settings?

Any help on what I can do would be much appreciated.

The new installations of the games may not have restored the purchases automatically and would need you to manually do so.
