I can’t see the "Allow camera access" on my iPhone's Instagram app

For any of you having and issue, try this:

Settings

Screen Time

Content & Privacy Restrictions

Photos (make sure any app you want to be able to access photos is showing full access)

Also check:

Settings

Privacy & Security

Camera and Microphone

Make sure for both you have the apps you want turned on

This happened to me and I tried all the tricks in this thread, including accessing permissions through multiple areas in my phone settings, deleting and redownloading the app. Nothing worked. However! If you LOG OUT of your instagram account (if you have more than one, log out of all of them), delete the app, restart your phone, redownload the Instagram app and login it should work…. It did for me anyway. Good luck!

Oh my God, I got it guys. It’s been like three months of me, trying to figure out the same thing.

GO TO SETTINGS

• SCREEN TIME

• CONTENT & SETTINGS

• PHOTOS (Allow full access)

Now go to IG and it should ask you if you want to grant full access and hit YES!!!!!! 👍🏾

Go to settings

General

“transfer or reset IPhone”

click reset

choose “reset location & privacy”

open IG and try allowing access again 👍🏽

Settings>scroll down the the list of apps>instagram>photos>limited access/full access. If you already have the one you want selected then click on the other one and click on the one you want again (for example you want full access, nd its already seletected then select limited access then select full access again). This worked for me. I reinstalled the app and restrarted my ipad before this idk if that helped.

You don't grant access to the camera in the Instagram app. You open Settings > Privacy & Security > Go down to Camera and turn on Instagram there.

I had the same problem. Long story short - turn your iPhone off and back on.👍🏼

Instagram updated itself automatically and requested photos, camera 📷 and mic 🎤 access. But when i clicked on "Instagram" in the settings, I didn't see the option to enable photos access etc.. only Siri, location, notifications etc.

Log out of your instagram account (if you have more than one, log out of all of them), delete the app, restart your phone, redownload the Instagram app again and login it should work… 🤞

Just delete the app, reinstall it, and allow full access at the onboarding

Delete the App and redownload.

Check the app settings scroll down 2 the app in settings then click it. Here I can change all of the apps access to the phone.

My daughter encountered a similar issue, but we were able to resolve it. Her phone's storage was full, so she deleted several large files, restarted the phone, and now it's functioning perfectly. She can now upload and save videos and photos without any issues.

I was in this problem too. You will not see photo or camera setting as usual.

JUST TURN YOUR DEVICE OFF AND TURN ON AGAIN.
