Hi Anitatj,


The simplest way to determine if you're using an eSIM would be to go to Settings > General > About, then scroll down to the bottom of the page. From there, you'll see above your carrier network name if the device is using an eSIM. You can also see if the device is using Dual SIM. The article About eSIM on iPhone outlines options to convert your SIM to an eSIM which may be available, if needed.
