I just want to share Apple+TV not everything

I've spent a couple days trying to figure this out. I want to invite a friend to use the Apple+. Our "family" is using iCloud, paid by the "Organizer" (my husband) and the other stuff, Apple+TV, News, is paid by me. He shows up in my family. I show up on his phone, computer in his family. However, his account shows no subscriptions. My account shows the Apple+TV and News. I get a message stating I can share the Apple+TV and the News. But I can't. There is no way to add anyone.

He can add someone, but if he does we get a message that says share iCloud, News, TV, etc. Don't want to share the iCloud with anyone. Just want to share the Apple TV+.

Do I need to cancel the subscription to Apple TV and News? Have him re-sign up, using the same credit card that is already in the system for the iCloud, so he can then share the Apple TV+ and News with me. Again, but we can add someone without allowing them access to iCloud?

When I originally set this up, I simply sent him an invite to join the family and he did. But SINCE then, we added iCloud. and it's managed by him; I had to do that because we were increasing the GB and Apple wouldn't let me do it for some reason. I had to set the iCloud up in his account, then share to me. Is that the issue?

We have purchase sharing on as well. He is "Organizer" I am "Adult." And, mind you, we do not use the iPhones to watch television. We occasionally use it to read the news, but 90% of the time we use the 65" television to watch a program, not the phone.

This is what he sees:

This is what I see for my account:

And on my phone, I see this, but the billing is to his name, not mine.

And the card used for the Apple TV and Apple News is not the same as the iCloud.

Confused yet?

And if I click "Manage" it sends me to the app home page. So, nothing there.

Or, if I click on learn more, I'm asked if I want to pay monthly or annual. So no help there.

Nope. None of that works. Not a "new subscription." And if you look at the shared images you will see everything is already sharing. But I can't add anyone to the Apple TV+. I can add someone to EVERYTHING but not just to Apple TV. That is the question. What you are suggesting is what someone would google if they were looking to add this as if this all worked. I never understand why someone shares what anyone can find by simply searching. Nope. Doesn't solve a problem; just shares how it should work. Been there, done that.

It's like:

Question: How do I make this work?

Answer: Plug it in.

Oh, thank you so much. I had no idea that's what to do.

You can choose which eligible App Store subscriptions you share with family members. From: Share Apple and App Store subscriptions with family members on iPod touch - Apple Support and Share Apple and App Store subscriptions with family members on iPhone - Apple Support

"1. Go to Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions.

2. Do either of the following:

- Share all new subscriptions: Turn on Share New Subscriptions. When you purchase a new subscription that’s eligible for sharing, it’s shared with your family members by default.

- Change the settings of a specific subscription: Tap a subscription, then turn Share with Family on or off.

- If you don’t see Share with Family, the subscription is not eligible for sharing.

To see which subscriptions you’re already sharing, go to Settings > [your name] > Family Sharing."

From my reading of it, you can decide which subscriptions you wish to share, but not with whom to share them. It's everybody or nobody.
