To turn off silence notifications on an iPhone, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Scroll down and tap on "Sounds & Haptics" (or "Sounds" depending on your iOS version).
  3. Under the "Ringer and Alerts" section, toggle off the "Silent Mode" or "Silent" switch.

By doing this, you should be able to disable the silent mode and receive notifications with sound.

If your iPhone notifications are being silenced and the side switch isn’t set to silent, it could be due to your Do Not Disturb settings or Focus mode settings (introduced in iOS 15). Here’s how to check and adjust them:

For Do Not Disturb:

1. Open Settings.

2. Scroll down and tap on “Do Not Disturb.”

3. Make sure the “Do Not Disturb” switch is turned off. If it is green, it’s on; tap it to turn it off.

For Focus mode:

1. Open Settings.

2. Tap on “Focus.”

3. Make sure none of the Focus modes (like “Sleep” or “Work”) are enabled when you don’t want them to be.

You should start receiving your notifications normally after you’ve adjusted these settings.

If notifications for a specific app are being silenced, you might need to adjust your settings for that app:

1. Open Settings.

2. Scroll down and tap on “Notifications.”

3. Tap on the app that’s not sending you notifications.

4. Make sure “Allow Notifications” is turned on.

5. Also, check that the alerts are set to be shown in your “Lock Screen,” “Notification Center,” and as “Banners.”
