Timer on lock screen iOS 16.5 iPhone 14 pro max

I accidentally swiped it off and tried to re-add it by customizing the lock screen and adding the widget, but it’s not there. I stopped the timer and looked again. Nope.

how do I get it back?

*****UPDATE******

thankfully I found that Apple, in its relentless pursuit of simplicity of use decided not to include the timer feature if you add the clock widget. Instead, you have to stop the timer, lock the phone, hold the lock button to pull Siri up, then tell her to start a timer. THEN and only then will it re-appear on the Lock Screen. Seems right in line with the ease of use concept.

Any idea why they make it so difficult? It’s obviously a known problem if you search the threads for this.

You have engaged yourself in a cycle of assigning responsibility or fault for a problem or mistake without taking constructive action to resolve it. You typically got involved in pointing fingers at others rather than focusing on finding solutions or addressing underlying issues.

The question or the query that you have is not even explained in detail for you to get an answer from the community.

From the wild guiesses that I made based on your post, here is an answer that may help you.

You need to customise Control Center based on your need. Please see the pic below.

You may have missed the title referring to the Lock Screen (vs control panel).

Your screen shot is the control panel. Not the Lock Screen. The question, I thought, was pretty clear: “how do I get it back”. Perhaps I should have added “to the Lock Screen” for clarity. That’s on me. I did come back quickly and update my post with the “solution” that does work, but is unnecessarily difficult.

I’m not sure how your suggestion/screen shot regarding the control panel addresses the Lock Screen question, but you may be saying that people can access the timer by swiping down from the upper right corner. I do have timer in my control center, and I tried starting it from there to see if it would appear on the Lock Screen (it did not). I believe there is a link where people can report suggestions and bugs that I’ll make use of.

I appreciate the snarky response though! :D
