Hi. i am currently using a macbook pro (mid 2012 model pre retina) and have just upgraded the ram to 16gb and replaced the hard drive with ssd. I have installed High Sierra into it but when i tried installing the updates, like the macOS update combo and other updates, it always shows THE VOLUME DOES NOT MEET THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS UPDATE. What does it mean and what do i need to do?

softwareupdate --fetch-full-installer --full-installer-version 10.14.6
It will place a copy of the installer in your Applications folder and you can use that to create a bootable installer.

hi, thank you for the quick response😍 i am currently running HIGH SIERRA the the drive is in the APFS. I tried macOSUpdCombo, macOSUpd and SecUpd2020-006HighSierra but all are receiving the same message, the volume does not meet the requirements…..
WhatOS are you running & what Format is the Drive?
Does the Updater have Combo in the name?
Update cannot be installed on this disk, what do i need to do?
