my Apple Watch Series 3 connects to my iPhone 14 but needs an update every time it says no internet connection any suggestions please

My Apple Watch will not update. It states I am not connected to the Internet. My iPhone is connected to the Internet with the most recent iOS. I am using 17.1 my iPhone connects to all Internet but my watch will not connect. I am using iPhone 14, iOS 17.0.1. on the Watch app on my iPhone I am unable to do anything because it states I need an update. I click on update and it states I have no Internet connection. My iPhone 14 is currently connected to the Internet without any issues I verified my watch has the correct Internet connection paired with it. I verified my Internet connection is working.

Has anyone resolved the cannot connect watch because needs update and no internet connection please I cannot connect my Apple watch because phone says it needs updating but I have no internet. Has anyone resolved this issue before please

It sounds like you are having some trouble with updating your Apple Watch. We can help.

A good place to start is by unpairing your Apple Watch and restarting both your Apple Watch and your iPhone.

To unpair your Apple Watch you can check out these steps: Unpair and erase your Apple Watch.

Afterwards, you can Set up and pair your Apple Watch with iPhone.

Then, try to update again.
