iMac fan died - need replacement

So the fan on my wife's iMac just died (2019 27in 5k retina display). I did run a hardware diagnostic and that's what came up (PPF003 and 004). I also tried seeing if it was a sensor or the fan itself so I used the Fan Control app. It seemed to be able to see all of the relevant temps, but the fan speed was "0". This didn't kick in even when I set the app to "Full Blast".

So dead fan.

Does anyone know where I can find a replacement fan? I'm good at taking iMacs apart and this looks like an easy repair job...as long as I get the parts and a new set of adhesives from ifixit.

Faling that, what is the going rate for fan replacements at the Apple Store? The iMac is out of warranty.

Thanks!

That appears to be the proper diagnosis.

You need a 923-03071 and yes a reseal kit. You might be able to pull off a DIY, if you are really good. You might also end up with a money pit or basket case if something else goes wrong.

We are just other Mac users like you. For an estimate, you will need to make an appointment and haul it into your local Apple Store or a trusted AASP.

The hardest part of the job is not damaging the very delicate & fragile cable connectors. They can be tricky to disconnect & reconnect. If you damage the wrong one, it may require an expensive Display Assembly or Logic Board.

You also want to be careful handling & storing the Display Assembly by keeping it vertical or you risk having it crack under its own weight.

FYI, OWC has videos showing how to perform upgrades, but they make the process look easier than it is.
