Why did the background color on phone calls change to ugly blue and gray?

I updated my iPhone to IOS 17.1.1 a few weeks ago, and since then, my background color when answering calls has changed to a dull grey color. It is not pleasant. At the same time, I only get small icons for callers, even though I have full screen set for incoming calls. What can I do to go back to the better screens options?
Sorry, I wasn't replying to you. No, things changed with iOS 17. No explanation for why they would be different with iOS 16.

This has something to do with your background on your Home Screen. It will change to colors that are alike the picture on your Home Screen
This is something very different from before my last update. We need to know how to change from this dull greyish to a color we choose.
Isn’t there any response from Apple to give a way we can use better color as background dull grey for calls. Seems it was a change which took place after the latest update.
