Watch 2-finger time night mode

I can touch 2 fingers to my Apple Watch during the day and it will audibly tell me the time. But the only times that I really care to hear the time is at night when I'm mostly asleep and not wearing my glasses.

But when my watch is in night mode, I have not been able to get it to speak the time.

Is there a setting I'm missing?

Does Double Tap on Watch Series 9 not work for Timers? I have a new Series 9 Apple Watch, and have the Double Tap gesture turned on. When a Timer is done, I thought I'd be able to use Double Tap to turn the Timer done alarm off, but, it doesn't seem to work for that function. Issues After Apple Watch Update 9.6.1 I have had issues with my watch after the update last week. If I move my wrist, I am automatically given the time or my heart rate. I can’t dismiss phone calls using my watch - the watch keeps stating “Dismiss” but it doesn’t end the call. It also takes several tries before my watch accepts my password. If I sleep with my watch on, I am awakened to the time being announced if I move slightly in my sleep. How can I fix this?

Apple Watch sleep mode without wake up delay Is it possible to put my Apple Watch (Series 8) in sleep mode (dark screen, no notifications, etc) without also getting the delay when pressing the digital crown? The delay makes it extremely frustrating to do stuff like adjust my wake up time etc.
