Lightning to USB 3 Camera Connection Adapter doesn't deliver power after iOS/iPadOS 16.5 update

I have two Lightning to USB 3 Camera Connection Adapters, one from 6-8 years ago, and another purchased in March 2023. After updating my iPhone 13 mini to iOS 16.5 and iPad mini (5th Generation) to iPadOS 16.5, the adapter no longer delivers power to devices. USB functionality still works (I use my iPad/iPhone with a powered USB hub + audio interface) but I no longer get the benefit of pass-through charging.

I spoke with Apple Support over the phone (Case ID 102011176146), and went to the Genius Bar where I confirmed the same issue with an in-store adapter as well. I'm hoping this gets resolved in a future iOS/iPadOS update as I use my iPad very often for home recording—worrying about the battery of my device is not ideal for long music sessions.

Has anyone else had a similar issue?
