How do you prevent your Mac frequently visited sites from showing up on your iPhone

On your Mac, go to Settings > [Apple ID on top] > iCloud. Click "Show All" on the "Apps using iCloud" and switch off Safari. This will also remove syncing of Bookmarks. If you want to continue with using iCloud and Safari, then just open a New Private Window in the File menu of Safari on the Mac, and any site you go to will not show up on your iPhone.
