RICOH Aficio 2020 prints a lot of Misc crap after downloading and install Ricoh printer drivers V.3.0.1 for Mac

RICOH Aficio 2020 prints a lot of Misc crap after downloading and install Ricoh printer drivers V.3.0.1 for Mac. The 1st pg has %!PS-Adobe-3.0; top line, then %APL_DSC_Encoding: UTF8, 2nd line and on the 3rd line %APLProducer: (Version 12.6.6 (Build21G646. Then the next sheets come out with letters and numbers and 0's on some sheets others are blank but I have to manually stop the paper from coming out.

What can I do should I delete the printer and try to add it back with the software listed in the pane? although the models listed are not my exact model. My Pc can print to it on a Pcl6 driver by wifi, but my iMac is connected by ethernet but it will not print with wifi settings.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

When I visit the Ricoh site for the Aficio 2020/2020D model, I see v2.0 drivers for macOS (Sierra, El Capitan, and Yosemite) all last released in Oct 2013. No newer version or macOS operating system release is shown. This is not an Apple AirPrint compatible device.

Where did you find a v3.0.1 driver for macOS and this specific device? Is it designated for macOS Monterey support, and a Postscript driver or strictly PCL6 which would not handle PDF documents without some conversion tool.

Savin shows driver support thru macOS Ventura for the C2020 device though the last release date on those drivers was in 2020. Also for Windows 8.1 thru 11. The Savin drivers for macOS download from Apple's site was released in 2016 and I cannot see that being compatible with any Apple operating system released since 2020.

Other than VirtualBox, and UTM, all the other Virtual Machine choices are annual subscriptions. I have Parallels Desktop Pro 18.3 running on a 2020 Core i7 iMac (Monterey 12.6.8) with 40 GB RAM. I allocate 8 threads (cpus) and 16 GB RAM to the Windows 11 Pro guest. Parallels charges me around $120 USD per year.

The incompatible print drivers would be a principal source of PDF gibberish output on your printer. If that PDF appears correctly in Apple's Preview or Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, then it isn't the PDF integrity as the issue.

The last I heard, HP was enforcing the use of its cartridges or it would disable the printer. Maybe that is only with recent HP products. I have never owned an Inkjet printer specifically due to their operating cost and cartridge hassles. Owned an HP LaserJet 4m+ (Mac specific) from 1994 thru 2014.

I found it on the apple support website. Still not able to print correctly but with the drivers mentioned above it prints out what I described. I read someplace the Big Sur still supports the original drivers. I have the original cd/dvd that comes with the Multifunction Savin 2020 but when I try to load it on to the iMac it doesn't accept the software . I have a Laptop that prints to it with no problem. although it uses Tap windows adapterV9 over internet protocol version 6(TCP/IPV6 within network sharing with DHCP enabled with an IPv4 subnet mask on IPv4 DNS servers. I'm thinking if I go to Parallels for Mac I might be able to do it, or run windows on the iMac, as it is originally a 2015 retina display with core i5.

Any ideas? by the way I do have an Hp with wireless that will print but its Inkjet and the cartridges are too expensive . This Savin is a workhorse and only has about 90,000 copies and still a lot of toner left.

Again, any Ideas or help would be appreciated.
