iPhone screen broken, how can I transfer data to a new one??

Hello, my Brother's phone screen recently broke, so he got a new one. However, the touch screen won't work so I can't click anything. Also, when I plug it into my Mac I can't click "Trust" so I am stuck on what to do... I was thinking I could use iTunes because I read something about that but the iPhone won't trust my Mac because it does not have the same iCloud account. My Brother does not have a Mac so he won't be able to do it.

Backups must occur before catastrophes. After a catastrophe it’s too late.

If your brother performed a backup, the replacement iPhone can be restored from that. Without a backup, all his data not stored elsewhere is gone.
