Apple Pencil 2nd Generation tip showing metal

I have had my iPad and Apple Pencil for 3 days so far and have been using the Apple Pencil for drawing on Procreate. The tip of my Apple Pencil has started showing a bit of metal underneath and I want to know why this might of happened, if this is normal and how to fix it. Is it something I have done? I haven’t dropped the pencil and have kept it on top of my iPad magnetically unless in use. Can this be fixed? Can I be compensated or given a replacement tip if this means the tip is broken? Any answer is appreciated!

I don't think this is normal "wear & tear" ... especially after 3 days. Since you only had this Apple Pencil for 3 days, you can just return them to Apple for either a full refund or a replacement. You have 14 days, from the purchase date, to do so.
