iCloud for Windows

After changing my Apple ID months ago and recently restarting my Microsoft Windows computer, iCloud for Windows displays my old Apple ID for login and will not allow me to change it in the pop-up window. If I input my current password, it displays an error for Verification Failed, Apple ID or password is incorrect. It appears that iCloud is partially syncing in the background.

I would like to be able to change the Apple ID in the pop-up window and ensure that my iCloud is properly synced on my Windows PC

I cannot do anything. Windows is permanently open some login screen asking old Apple ID and password. But Windows do not accept neither old pswd nor new pswd. iCloud for Windows 11 will not authenticate after a forced password change on iPhone My AppleID forced a password change (I won't get into that), and I eventually got the new password active on my iPhone and iPad. But when I enter the exact same password (yes, I checked) into the iCloud app on Windows 11, it comes back with "Verification Failed: Unable to sign you in to your Apple Account. Try again later." I know it works, because I signed onto this forum and iTunes Connect with the AppleID and password. This problem survived a reboot. When I looked at all the devices that my AppleID was signed onto, I had multiple copies of my Surface Pro 8, so I removed them all from the account. What do I try next?

Unable to sign into icloud I'm running Windows on my Intel desktop: Windows 11 Home, v22H2, OS build 22621.2134. I recently changed my AppleID, and received confirmation from Apple that my ID had been successfully changed. It also reflects my new email address. Now I'm receiving a message to sign in to icloud, but it pre-populates the AppleID with my OLD AppleID, and I'm unable to sign in. I've deleted cookies, shut down, and powered up my PC, but still have the same problem. Can anyone help?
