Your iCloud Storage is full - fake or real emails?

Hi All,

I am receiving emails that look pretty real. However I am already on iCloud + 200GB plan and my settings show that I have plenty of available storage over 120GB. I have been ignoring these emails because there are no messages when I log into iCloud to validate them. I have noticed that today's photos are not in icloud though. I checked the link in the email and it refers to http:/*** I dont know if I should trust and click, so I have not. How can I possibly require an upgrade with 120GB free storage space? Surely iCloud would have the messages for me on the platform, not just an email?

The emails refer to:

'Your iCloud storage is full. As a result, you can no longer send

or receive messages with your iCloud email address, x(my actual email address)x, your

documents, contacts, mail, and device data are no longer backing up to iCloud

and your photos and videos are not uploading to iCloud Photos.

To continue using these iCloud services, you need to upgrade your iCloud storage plan or reduce the amount of storage you are

using.'

Report, then Delete this eMail:

This is a Scam. Apple is not going to look up your storage, and tell you how much storage you have, and where to go from here. The sis YOUR resposibitly to keep an eye on where things are. So, report this to Apple by forwarding it to reportphishing@apple.com. Then, trash the eMail from your Archive and Trash folders. You're safe, as long as you don't click anything in that eMail.
