Desktop/Mac Ventura 13.4: Mail has recently started showing the headers and first line or so at the bottom of the screen / which automatically opens the email. How do I get rid of that?

Desktop/Mac Ventura 13.4: Mail has recently started showing the headers and first line or so at the bottom of the screen / which automatically opens the email. How do I get rid of that?

The "View > Message > All Headers" did not work / change the presence at the bottom of the screen of the headers for the highlighted message.
However, just putting the cursor on the divide between inbox and message header and sliding it down
got rid of the header and first few lines of message.
