iPad Air 5 heating up while using Notes with Apple pencil

I had the same problem. I tried several solutions but the only one that worked for me was to turn on the low battery mode while I was taking notes and that solved the overheating for me.

Try uninstalling the notes app and reinstalling it. Then restart the ipad and use note app with pencil.

I have been facing the same issue from 1 month now. When I am using the Apple notes with the apple pencil. The right side of the ipad where we attach the apple pencil gets hot. It is not a issue with the other note taking apps. This is just a issue with Apple Notes.

Do let me know if someone is facing similar issue or something else on this.

I an encountering the same problem with my M2 iPad Pro, I an expecting that it is a problem of all iPads when using any stylus. The iPad seems to be struggling to register the Apple Pencil and that consumes lots of power and uses lots of the CPU. However, I am really confused by that, as it should be a basic task. I hope Apple can address this seriously.

I'm facing exactly the same issue. My iPad Air 5 heats up on the right side (in portrait mode, near where the apple pencil attaches) while using the Notes app with the pencil.

my ipad mini 6 also have the same problem. it overheats when i write it for just 30 mins. specifically when using apple pencil 2 with the notes app while other apps are turn off. any updates on how to fix this?

Is there a known fix for this already? Currently experiencing it,I thought it was due to my case. Realized it’s an issue since I already changed my case.
