iCloud Photos

I recently upgraded to 50GB of iCloud because I was told I did not have enough storage on my Mac to sync photos. However when I have new photos on my iPhone now they still don’t sync to my Macbook wirelessly. I have to use the cable wire. Is there any way to have the photos from iphone sync to my MacBook without having to use that white wire cable ? Thanks

The 50GB of iCloud storage space that you purchased does not add additional space to your iPhone or your Mac. The iCloud stores your data, however, also keeps it synced across your devices that are signed on with the same Apple ID. You may choose Optmize Storage on your iPhone and your Mac so that your photos are stored in full resolution on iCloud while stored in low resolution on your iPhone and Mac. This will save space on your iPhone and Mac so that the syncing process may begin between the iPhone, iCloud and the Mac.
