Is there anyway to prevent Darkwake starting external peripheral ?

On standby, the battery on my 14" MacBook Pro drains completely. I found many similar cases on the Web, and played with the PMSET command. Nothing works.

When I unplugged my external SSDs, no more problems.

The conclusion is simple: every time it wakes up from standby, the Mac boots up the external SSDs, which is very power-hungry and completely useless.

Is there any way of preventing this without unplugging the external SSDs?

If not, is there any hope of Apple solving this problem?
