Can't add a Gmail account to Apple Mail

My Apple mail won't get my Gmail all of a sudden. I deleted my Gmail and when I try to add a new G mail account I get this 400 error
redirect_uri: urn:ietf:wg:oauth:2.0:oob
Any suggestions on a work around,

I actually managed to sort it out! Rather than set up as google I clicked other… added my gmail address and used the app password that I’d managed to suss out and generate ( rather than my gmail password!) and it worked!!
