Haptic feedback on MacBook Pro stopped working after MacOS 13.4 upgrade
I have a 14" 2021 MacBook Pro that I purchased less than a year ago. The computer is running macOS Venture 13.4 and the software upgrade to 13.4 just happened a few days ago.
Haptic feedback on the trackpad is now intermittent since the software upgrade. It was working fine for a few days after the upgrade, and then when I went to use the computer this morning, haptic feedback was not working. A couple hours later, it started working again, and then it stopped working after a few minutes.
I've tried restarting the computer, and also powering it down for a few minutes and then restarting it.
I've tried toggling the "Force Click and haptic feedback" switch in the Trackpad Settings and it has no effect. I normally have this feature turned on.
Is this a software bug with macOS 13.4 Venture, or has my computer developed some type of hardware problem? Is anyone else experiencing this?
