Organizing Photos

I have several hundred photos from a trip to Greece. These photos are in a shared library from my camera and my wife's iPhone. I would like to label them so that when I view them on my iPad, or iPhone I have the label or title or whatever you call it, available. I would also like to create a slideshow with this same information. How do I do this without duplicating my work? Thanks
