In Outlook for Mac, I'm trying to save emails into folders I've created On My Computer. However, the software doesn't allow me to do that. In my old legacy Outlook for Mac that wasn't a problem, at least initially. Can someone help me figure out how to use these folders?

I don't see an answer here, and none of the general categories of questions addresses my problem. Any suggestions on how to "activate" the folders I create in On My Computer? They are useless as things stand.
I was afraid of that. So I'm stuck again. I've been using those local folders On My Computer as my filing system. I had probably 1500 folders and 10,000 emails, all gone now with the new Outlook. I've tried going back to the Legacy Outlook, but now the files and folders appear to be corrupted.

Restore your backups from prior to the Outlook update.
Report this issue to the app vendor, too; to Microsoft.
The new Outlook for Mac does not support local storage yet.

I just drag and drop emails I want to keep in a separate folder. I start with the folder on my desktop, then move it to a permanent location when I'm done.
Once folders are created on a Mac, the folder is active. ... ready for use. No further action required.
Not on my machine. The new Outlook does not appear to support this. Jeeeezzz!
