I too am unable to get my Amazon for TV to accept my apple ID and password. I was given a few trial of Pple tv after buying am expensive new iPhone but what good does it do if you can't watch on your TV. Something needs to be fixed on their end. I've tried everything including being on the phone with some support for am hour. 😟

We'd recommend resetting the TV app if able to do so on the Amazon device:
"If you’re having problems and the Apple TV app still doesn’t respond after restarting, try resetting the Apple TV app. When you reset the Apple TV app, all data is erased, including your accounts and configuration.
, navigate to Settings. If that is not an option or you still cannot sign in, we'd recommend confirming other apps work without issue. If they do, contact Apple Support for additional assistance.
