Apple CarPlay wont connect to Bluetooth using iOS 16.5
This is a long story but will try to keep this short. Brought an after market Apple CarPlay about 2 years back for my 2016 BMW X3. Fitted the hard ware , but have had nothing but issues trying to get the CarPlay side working. No problems with the BMW system. After much trying gave up about a year ago. Jumping to now I had use of a car that had CarPlay and found it very useful. Decided to try one last time to get system working. Took it to a local specialist and they got it working. However when they tried using it on my phone it wouldn’t work wirelessly, but would via USB. Delving deeper and resetting all the systems and phone it still would not work wirelessly on my phone iPhone 12 Pro running iOS 16.5, but would work wirelessly on iso 16.2 on the technician’s phone iPhone. Any ideas as due to the fact it will work wirelessly on the technician phone but not mine shows it’s an issue on my phone, but can connect to other Bluetooth devices such as speakers using my phone. Any ideas people ? Must be a setting on my phone that’s being missed not ticked.
