Software update required to connect to iPhone: not available from Update Server (Ventura/iOS17 )

Every time I connect my iPhone to the Macbook Pro (M1), Ventura wants to download an update "A software update is required to connect to user's iPhone":

Unfortunately, after a while, the update fails to download:

Resulting in the error message "Installation failed. Can't install the software because it is not currently available from the Software Update server.":

This has happened since upgrading to iOS 17, and I am hoping someone has a solution before I have to revert back to iOS 16.

Kind regards

iPhone 14 Pro Max

I have the same problem. I have a MacBook Pro using High Sierra and attached my new iPhone 15 pro. I click the upgrade feature and eventually says it cannot upgrade due to "network problem."

Boot into Safe Mode according to How to use safe mode on your Mac, connect your iPhone and click on the Install button from there.

Note:  if you have a wireless keyboard with rechargeable batteries connect it with its charging cable before booting into Safe Mode.  This makes it act as a wired keyboard as will assure a successful boot into Safe Mode.
