How to link one pdf file til a cell in Numbers?

You can't link from Numbers to files on your device.


But you can store the files in a service like Dropbox that allows copying of a file link to that item. Copy the link and paste it into a Numbers cell.


Then when you click or tap the cell the file will open.

No responses to your question in three days would suggest those who have read it do not understand what you are asking.


Can you rephrase the question and provide more detailed descriptions of:


  1. what you expect to happen when the pdf file is successfully 'linked'
  2. what does "til a cell" mean? (I'm assuming an uncorrected typo, but have not determined what the original text should have been)
  3. Should the linking require an action by the user? If so, what action? If not, what does trigger the linking?


What other information can you provide that might explain what you need to occur?
