Beats fit pro charging issues

It looks like there are SEVERAL claims of this same issue. The left ear but for me often will die quicker and even at time not charge at all. I sent it in for repairs and the notes don’t show that anything was done to fix the issue.

Rather, it shows that within 12 minutes of them arriving at the repair facility it was processed and shipped back.

This wouldn’t be the first time I’ve had an Apple product shipped out to be repaired only to find it was never inspected.

I am sharing my experience with the Apple community so they know to stay away from the Beats Fit Pros. I would have left a reply in another community post similar to this, but posts are locked after a period of inactivity.

I’m glad you haven’t experienced these issues. Unfortunately this hasn’t been the case for me over the past couple years.

My previous experiences are from MacBook Pros.

My girlfriend had a MacBook Pro that was under their service program to replace the screen and Touch Bar. When we got the computer back, it had a sticky note on it saying to check it out. We still had the issues and it was clear they didn’t actually replace the parts. I had my Chicago Apple Store inspect the laptop and it showed that the serial number on the service receipt didn’t match, and in fact was the original part. We sent it back out and they fixed the issue.

I had issues with my 2019, and then 2020 MacBook Pro. Within the first week I had kernel panics etc.. eventually they said they logic board needed to be replaced. The second one had similar issues, but was experiencing Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity issues as well. It took almost my entire 1 year warranty for both to finally have them replace my computers (about 5 repeat repairs). Thankfully the M1 chip hasn’t been as problematic.

... and is there something that you need assistance with from fellow Apple-product users about this issue?

FWIW, I have had several Apple product repairs over the years and have not personally ever experienced this same type of issue. Not saying that you didn't ... just not in my experience ... so, I don't think this would be common.

Thanks for sharing your experiences with both your Beats and your Mac products.

I guess if you believe everything in the universe must balance, your misfortunes with your devices were balanced out with my fortunes with mine. Sorry, wasn't trying to make light of this situation and I can fully understand your frustration with the level (or lack thereof) to get these resolved quickly ... or even to having to have them repaired in the first place.

I have been using Apple products, in earnest, since 2006. Actually started with a Apple IIc before then. A lot has changed since then. Can I say, definitively that the quality of Apple products have changed? Yes! ... but, not necessarily for better or worse. I still have a 2006 Mac mini, a 2008 Mac Pro, and currently responding to your post with a 2010 MacBook Pro. They all still work, and work well. I do have newer Apple devices, but it's still too soon to tell if they will be more problematic. So far, they work perfectly.

I hope these experiences do not leave you with an overall negative view about Apple products, but it would certainly be understandable. You are always welcome here. Whether it is for assistance with issues you're having or even with helping others with theirs. We all gain from these exchanges.
