cursor displaced from required position

I have a MacBook Air M2 after 3 months of working normally from new the Apple Magic mouse cursor does not select the correct position when positioning it on a selected box or tab or text. For example with the red (close), orange (hide) and green (enter full screen) buttons on a browser page, if I position the cursor on the orange button and select it will actually select the green button. Or if I try and press red it will actually select orange. Because of this inaccuracy I have had to learn to move the cursor around any option I wish to select to see where it will be highlighted before selecting it. Sometimes it can be be quite close to the desired position, other times it can be offset by an inch or so. It's infuriating and can cause problems if say when ordering something online and you select the wrong option by mistake when it's not clear the cursor is over the desired choice. It affects all my software from Microsoft Office to Adobe photo editing, PDFs, printer/scanner etc and all the Mac OS, Ventura 13.4.

I've also tried changing the mouse from bluetooth to USB without success. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

MacBook Air, 13.3

If not mistaken the only Cabling that can be done with this specific Apple Magic Mouse is to Recharge the battery via Lighting to USB cable

Using the Apple Magic Mouse with the Rechargeable Battery since macOS 11 Big Sur to macOS 12 Monterey and now macOS 13 Ventura 13.4

Have no issue what so every

Good work 👍 bring Safe Mode but the issue persists

There could be something in the main User Account playing up. To further isolate this - Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac. Then log out of the Main User account and log into the dummy account and test again if the issue persists.

6 - If the issue is present in the dummy account - then, this appears to be a System Wide issue on the computer.

7 - Download the Application Etrecheck directly from the Developer.

This is a Diagnostic Tool that makes no changes to the computer.

It makes a coherent and readable inventory of both the Hardware and Software used on the computer

The application is free or paid from added features.
