iCloud mail rules less useful than mail app rules

Why has iCloud mail rules fewer options than the mail app on my MacBook Pro? For example, there is no ‘contains’ option, which is probably the most useful of all.

When searching MacMail, emails that met the search criteria identified in a column which mailbox they were in. For some reason the Ventura version of Mac Mail seems to have dropped that feature. mail rules allow only one entry -- all others disappeared I've had some form of this problem for about the last 6 months after years of loving apple mail rules. I can set all the rules I want and they will work fine for one application of them and then all but the first one disappears. I've deleted all rules and re-entered the ones I wanted...same issue. I have no idea where to go from here. Running one Mac Studio M1 ultra and two MBP's -- one m1 16 both with Ventura 13.2 and one intel 15 with Monterey with latest updates. thanks in advance for any ideas to try tom

What part of a message id is the list-id that I should use in the iCloud mail rules, please?
