If you have a supported Mac, running a supported version of macOS the Safari update should appear in the Apple Menu, or in the Mac App Store.

macOS 10.14 Mojave can only update to Safari 14.

macOS 10.15 Catalina, and macOS 11 Big Sur can update to Safari 15.

macOS 11 Big Sur, 12 Monterey and 13 Ventura can run Safari 16.

To update to Safari 16, your Mac needs to be running macOS 11 Big Sur at least.

If your Mac can run Big Sur or later, update to that, and you will get the newest safari version available for it.
