SD Card Imports Videos with incorrect time but Still Photos are correct on iPad

I have imported videos from an SD card that I took with a Nikon D3500 to my iPad. I have had two occasions now where all videos’ date/time is shifted 7 hours earlier, while the still photos have correct date/time metadata. I imported them directly from an SD Card into my iPad using a SD-Lighting Dongle. I can adjust the date and time manually after import but as it’s iPad, I can’t affect the seconds so sometimes it’s still out of order with photos that have metadata with the seconds listed.

I have seen a previous post similar to this but it looks like it hadn’t had any updates in a long time.

Are there any solutions to this other than manually adjusting all videos date/time and photos that have second data attached to them?

I have adjusted dates on the Mac using GraphicConverter or exiftool, and then synced to iPad.

There are numerous places in the workflow which can cause incorrect sorting.

Images use local time (ExifIFD:DateTimeOriginal), but some images might have timezone offset tag (ExifIFD:Offset*).

On the other hand, movies (.mp4, .m4v, .mov) should use UTC time (QuickTime:CreateDate) and the apps should convert it to local time, but not all devices or apps honor that standard. And on the other hand, some movie dates (Keys:CreationDate) use local time with timezones and override that previous date tag.

And also GPS timezone affects sorting if the files happen to lack the previously mentioned tags.

In some scenarios, also the users's computer's timezone, or MacOS:FileCreateDate might affect sorting.
