I have tried multiple reboots, cleaning screen, cleaning hands, deliberrrrateelly (ok there’s the example, I’ll leave others in as they appear ) typing very lightlyc and very slowly, checked all typing related accessibility options like key repeat, all are off.. iPad is updated to latest iOOS. Remove any screen-protective film and any case, and clean the screen, and try again.

If that fails to resolve this and the display and touch continue to be a problem, use the Support link in the lower left corner of this webpage and chat or call Apple as available.
