Photos on this date not working

Photo memories are automatically curated. There is no manual setup - other than to enable Memories Notifications on supported devices:

Settings > Notifications > Photos > Customise Notifications > Memories - set to ON or OFF as required

Otherwise, the only other setting, on supported devices, is a reset:

Settings > Photos > [Memories] Reset Suggested Memories

This solution did not resolve the same issue I’m having. For example, today is April 29 and the “On This Day” collection in Memories in Photos is showing April 27 date and photos from April 27 of a previous year. I have tried restarting my iPad, turning Memories off and on, Resetting Suggested Memories. How exactly do I make Photos realize today is not April 27?????
