"Finish changing your password" for iCloud?

I keep getting a prompt in System Settings to finish changing my password to protect the access to data stored in iCloud. I changed my iCloud password, but it still wants me to "enter your new Password in Settings while connected to the internet." I don't understand these instructions? This is very annoying. How to I fix this?
