Renewing Office Apps

Several years ago, I accepted an offer for unlimited upgrades on my Office bundle for a steep price. I thought it was a good move as I had upgraded the bundle each time it cams due and the prospect of not having to remember to upgrade seemed good. The system has worked fine automatically renewing until this year when I lost the use of all my Office apps. So far, the only one that renewed was Excel. My next preference would be Word. Does anyone know what is going on and what part or lifetime renewal doesn't understand?
