Do you keep a message open for days, weeks etc. I'm not sure I'm following you here? Suggestions remain until you move on with what you're typing or send whatever you were typing or close out whatever you were working on.

I’m thinking the OP refers to:

For example, I always say: “I hope this is helpful”. I typed this whole sentence by using the suggested words above the keyboard. So I’m guessing the OP is wondering how long after you stop using a word will these suggested words disappear from above the keyboard.

So, I guess to translate the OP’s question to my case, you long until after I stop saying “I hope this is helpful,” will the word “this” stop being suggested after I type the word “hope.”

Probably I just made everything more complicated. 🤣

Truly I don't understand. If you don't use the suggested word and choose to type a different word or type the word differently it will appear as you typed it in "quotes" on the left. If you choose the quoted word and start typing ahead in whatever you're typing the suggested word will go away.

You're right, I clearly don't understand. So, I'll bow out and let anyone else help you. I'm not aware there is a time limit on suggested words. When you type, if iOS thinks there is a suggested word it appears. I'm not aware they ever go away permanently, if ever.

From my experience, it stays there until you either use the suggestion by tapping it or move on to type your next word.
