Update All requires password on each app

Were there any recent changes to your iPhone? Reinstall of iOS, update of your iPhone, etc? Also, if you do enter your password, does the app or apps then update?

Additionally, check under Settings > [your name] > Media & Purchases > Password Settings. From there, check your settings on when a password is required.

I'm annoyed by having to manually input my passport for 20% of the apps that update. I found the field you mentioned but I'm not allowed to modify the settings to turn off the individual password requirements. Any help is appreciated.
